Water-based ink belongs to the ink industry. In recent years, the Chinese government has issued a series of policies to support, encourage and regulate the development of the industry. In July 2018, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products: gravure Ink and flexographic Ink. Effective use and resource saving reduce the impact of gravure ink and flexo ink on the environment and human health in the production, use and disposal process, improve environmental quality, and promote the production and use of low-toxicity and low-volatility products.

The Chinese government is committed to reducing the emission of VOCs in the production of ink products, and has issued a series of policies to support the development and application of environmentally friendly ink.
